About Therapy
What issues do you work with?
I support adults with trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation difficulties, relationship patterns, low self‑esteem, grief, and the deeper challenges that shape how you feel and relate. You can explore these areas in more detail on my pages for Addiction Counselling , Trauma Therapy, and Anxiety Counselling.
Do you offer both short‑term and long‑term therapy?
Yes. Some people come for focused, short‑term work, while others prefer longer‑term therapy to explore deeper patterns. We’ll decide together what feels right for you.
Do you work with trauma and addiction together?
Yes. Many people experience overlap between trauma, emotional overwhelm, and addictive patterns. My approach is trauma‑informed and integrates both areas safely and steadily. You can read more on my Trauma Therapy and Addiction Counselling pages.
Practicalities
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. I work with clients across the UK via secure online sessions. You can learn more about how I work on my Counselling in Bedford & Online page.
Do you offer evening appointments?
I offer a mix of daytime and evening sessions to help therapy fit around work, family, and personal commitments.
How often are sessions?
Most clients attend weekly, but fortnightly or flexible arrangements are possible depending on your needs.
How do I pay for sessions?
Payment is made by bank transfer 24 hours prior to your session. Full details are provided when we begin working together.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can reschedule a session at any time, if it is rescheduled for a day in the same week as the original appointment and can be accommodated. If not, this will be count as a cancelled appointment. Cancellations within 48 hours’ notice are charged at the full fee.
My Approach
What does “integrative counselling” mean?
It means I draw from several therapeutic approaches — including person‑centred, psychodynamic, DBT‑informed strategies, mindfulness, and body‑based awareness — so we can shape the work around what you need. You can read more about this on my Counselling in Bedford page.
Do you give homework or tools?
Sometimes. If grounding techniques, emotional regulation tools, or reflective exercises would support your process, I’ll offer them gently and collaboratively.
Do you work with people who have never had therapy before?
Absolutely. Many clients I meet are starting therapy for the first time. We move at your pace, and you don’t need to prepare anything.
Location & Accessibility
Where are you based?
I offer in‑person counselling in a quiet, discreet location in Bedford, with easy access from Milton Keynes, Northampton, Luton, Cambridge and surrounding areas.
Is your therapy room accessible?
The room is on the ground floor. If you have specific accessibility needs, please let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate them.
Do you work with clients outside Bedford?
Yes — online sessions are available across the UK.
